Product Designer at Forem

Job description
As a Product Designer at Forem, you will help drive design execution to empower open-source communities on our platform. The ideal candidate is a generalist product designer who enjoys tackling complex problems, demonstrates strong craftsmanship in visual and interaction design across multiple platforms, and drives product execution through an iterative and collaborative process. 

Primary responsibilities

What you’ll do

• You will transform broad, conceptual ideas into excellent product and user experience for our growing Forem community.
• You embrace an end-to-end design process that allows you to wear many hats (strategy, research, concept, interaction design & prototyping, QA / building with engineers).
• You design across platforms (native iOS, Android, web).
• You root your product decisions in company goals and user needs, often stating the tradeoffs to consider. You can state clearly what problem you are solving.
• You facilitate brainstorms and discussions with cross-functional peers to create a collaborative environment.
• You plan, scope, and create work that contributes to a larger, long-term plan.
